This lecture expands on the research presented in the film "Forks Over Knives", which can be checked out through the library or found on Netflix or Amazon.
Forks Over Knives (www.forksoverknives.com) is a powerful film that examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.
These presentations are by Jeanne Schumacher, Ed.D. Her objective is to make people aware that they can take many aspects of their health destiny into their own hands by consuming a whole food plant based diet.
Schumacher is trying to organize a local grass roots movement. Her first stop is to organize some restaurants to create a menu that would feature a special section for Whole Food Plant Based offerings. She would also like these restaurants to feature some of their food at her presentations for patrons to try! She would also like to organize a support group as well as find a doctor who is interested in adding this as an option in his/her practice.
